How the Referral Program Works: Earn Credit for Every Signup
If SimpliSend is working well for your business, there's a good chance someone in your network could use it too - another branch, a business in a related industry, a supplier or partner. The referral program turns that into a straightforward reward rather than just a favour.
Getting your referral code
Every account can generate its own referral code from the referrals section (the `referrals.manage` permission), a short code unique to that account. Share it directly, or as a link that pre-fills it on the signup form - the code just needs to be entered as `referralCode` when the new account registers.
What happens after someone signs up with your code
A referral is recorded as pending the moment someone registers using your code - no reward yet at that point, since a signup alone doesn't confirm the referral was worth anything to either side. The reward is applied automatically the first time the referred account completes a successful payment, whether that's a subscription or a bundle purchase.
The reward itself
A successful referral currently earns 100 SMS credits, added straight to your account balance - not a cash payout, just usable sending credit, applied the moment the referred account's first payment goes through. There's no cap mentioned anywhere on how many referrals one account can make, so a business that regularly refers others can build up a meaningful ongoing credit balance from it.
Tracking your referrals
Your referral history - who signed up with your code and whether the reward has been applied yet - is visible from your account, so there's no need to guess whether a referral "counted." A self-referral, or a code that doesn't match any account, is simply ignored rather than throwing an error at signup, so an invalid code never gets in the way of someone registering.
